Cheap Wedding Favors: If you want to get cheap wedding favors you can easily make them. This is far more personal and actually nicer than bought favors. You can make special poems, create little crafts, or make seed packets.
In the busy often separate (work and social) life married people have today, it is way too often forgotten that also a marriage need to be nurtured. Or rather maybe we didnt realize it? A sad fact is that many spouses dont include this life-giving support when they get on with their marriage. To take someone for granted is the sure way to a failed marriage. One of our basic needs is to be loved. However, when still only in a relationship, it is often taken for granted that you SHOULD make impressions on the other, making regular dates, doing all sort of different activities and travels. And I wonder "why is that this seems to be so conveniently forgotten when you get married? Here are some of the reasons why a good marriage (which most of them are in the first few days!) turns bad:
I look for anything I can work with - windows or doorways are my favorite. One of the reasons I like these two options is they give me additional lighting! Depending on the look you're trying to achieve, you may only need to add a little bit of light here. When I'm working with the bride and groom around the church I typically use off camera flash triggered with Pocket Wizards. As soon as you can afford to go wireless - do so! It's well worth the money to not have to worry about cords. So I have a Nikon SB-28 flash on a light stand with a mini soft box that I can move around as I please and place the light where I want. I typically do a test with a hand held light meter to read the ambient light first. Then I pop in enough light to be about a stop more than the ambient.
White has always been a traditional wedding color, and many brides also use gold and silver, pastel colors, and off-white shades in conjunction with stark white. Instead of these classic bridal colors, consider using bold colors with the same bridal motifs. You do not have to go with hot pink, but think about how the traditional invitations you are viewing would look in plum, hunter green or red. Modern invitations do not have to be soft colors. Let your personality shine through! Right now, steel blue, brown, and yellow are all popular, trendy wedding colors, and you can send cards in colors that match the season. You do not even have to match your wedding invitation colors with your wedding colors, just do what feels right to you. If you are worried about using bright colors, consider at least an accent color. Stick to a white invitation that includes just a burst of color.
